Before students can enter Leeds University, they are required to select a course from the list available. This can be a very hard choice, especially with there being in excess of 600 courses. A budding student could potentially spend days looking through these courses in order to select one. Once they have found a course there is then no guarantee that it will be the most suitable course for them and may then lead to a student-changing course when they arrive at university. This will incur overhead costs (for example, administration costs) to the university and the student. The problem lies with there being little help in the selection of a university course. There are staff members who can help; however, they cannot always be relied upon to make the best choice for a student.
