📄 Project Abstract

The main aim of this project was to produce an online community portal where School of Computing students, Careers Centre advisors and graduates can share experiences and advice and locate detailed information on graduate opportunities within their field. This involved researching and evaluating online communities, current solutions, software development methodologies and possible software and hardware solutions. Functional, accessibility and usability requirements were then gathered and used to produce a prototype of the portal which was then evaluated using appropriate methods. This project used and built upon knowledge obtained from SOC modules completed during University. These included HCI, Information Systems and People Centred IS, Databases, Programming, Professional Development and Internet Systems
