Web Based Audio Editing Tool

📄 Project Abstract

Being a music producer today is easier than ever due to rapidly evolving software and adoption of computer hardware (Miniwatts Marketing Group, 2017). It is even easier to learn how to use these tools effectively due to the vast amount of information available to everyone on the internet. However, the right tools can be expensive because they are feature-rich and powerful standalone applications. Even with potential considered, this type of application is not portable, nor in most cases does it cater for a wide range of operating systems and configurations, causing technical issues for some users. Also, these tools can include too many features if the user is only using the software for quick and simple editing. I wanted to tackle this issue in my project by creating a portable, modern, intuitive application that is open-source, free, and can be used on a wide range of operating systems and configurations.
