Man as a gregarious animal is naturally predisposed to live in groups, such as hamlets, clans and villages. From the cradle to the Stone Age, man had sought to live and inter-relate with his fellows. Man as an embodiment of self and communal instinct to produce social existence and eke out a living, generates conflict and sometimes embark on war. The literary artist reflects man's actions and inactions in his works, especially conflict which remains central to drama. Conflict has been the subject of investigation in political science, sociology, psychology and other human sciences. In the same token, literary critics have engaged in studying conflicts reflected in texts, hence this study. This study investigates war and its relates as dramatic conflicts using four selected Igbo plays, two each of A. B. Chukuezi and G. O. Onyekaqnwx.
