📄 Project Abstract
Activity on the Internet has increased exponentially in the last decade. The Internet has become a secondary virtual home to many organizations and individuals, and also a playground for criminals. The need of network and security administrators has become essential to any organization to protect their network and resources from illegal access. This paper describes the development of a software system that implements geolocation technology to provide a real time network monitoring application that visualizes incoming and outgoing traffic. Geolocation is a networking topic that addresses finding the geographical location of a user on the Internet given the users IP address.
