📄 Project Abstract

This research was set out to investigate indigenous agricultural knowledge and practices used in crop production, those that could be use in addressing the effects of climate change during crop pre-planting, planting and post-planting operations. The research also investigate IAKPs farmers could use as climate change copping strategies in crop production stages. A survey research was employed for the study. Five research questions were developed and answered based on the purpose of the study. Also, five null hypotheses were formulated and tested at the probability of 0.05 level of significance. The population for the study was 220, made up of 193 registered aged contact farmers and 27 extension agents. A structured questionnaire was developed, validated by three experts and used to collect data from the 220 respondents.
