User Involvement + Project Success: Revisited

📄 Project Abstract

This project attempts to address the impact of user involvement on project failure given that the inclusion of user involvement is now considered the norm in information systems projects. It was decided that a case study would be the appropriate route and William Hill Plc. were confirmed as the subject for the case study. Research into project success and user involvement was needed, furthermore research finding out the extent of the problem of project failure was also addressed. A bespoke methodology was created to get the maximum benefit out of a case study, using both quantitative and qualitative research methods to gain as much information as possible from the project leader and the users of the system. The results will help form a solution which will be evaluated by several members of staff atWilliam Hill Plc. to understand the impact user involvement has on project success through the use of a case study.
