This study examines the link between US diplomacy and the Iranian nuclear programme. The thrust of the study however is to ascertain whether Iranian nuclear programme limits America's access to the Middle East oil as well as her global campaign against terrorism. The study also investigates the extent to which American foreign policy towards Iran is an outcome of Iranian nuclearization which seeks to undermine Israeli security. Relying on Realist Approach as our explanatory framework, the study argues that since American interest in the Middle East is not compatible with that of Iran, Iran's nuclear enrichment is bound to undermine America's national interest in the Middle East region. Adopting observational technique and depending on secondary sources, relevant data were generated and analyzed.
