Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is an endocrine condition that affects women during their reproductive years (Smith, 2018). It is a disorder that affects a woman's hormone levels and causes women to generate more male hormones than they should (Sullivan, 2019). This hormonal imbalance causes them to miss menstrual cycle making it difficult for them to conceive (Sullivan, 2019). Certain medicinal plants such as Aloe Vera, flax seed, and hazel nut may play a crucial role in treating PCOS (Ashkar et al., 2020). Because of the contribution of various useful phytoconstituents present in different plant sections, most medicinal plants are unique in their ability to treat and cure various human ailments such as PCOS, Diabetes and other ailments (Konappa et al., 2020).
