The Simulation of a Drugs Advisor using Chatbot Technologies
📄 Project Abstract
The aim of this project was to investigate the application of chatbot technologies as an aid in drugs awareness, simulating the role of a drugs advisor for University students. This involved researching and evaluating chatbot technologies, the current situation in drugs awareness, current drugs awareness recourses, system development methodologies and possible software solutions. User needs were then gathered using semi-structured interviews and document reviews in order to produce functional and non-functional requirements. A prototype chatbot was designed and developed to meet these requirements, offering basic functionality. Two iterations took place, each of which was evaluated against the requirements specification and usability criteria using user testing.
