📄 Project Abstract
This study, on "The Relationship Between Job Performance and Job Satisfaction of Lecturers of the Ahmadu Bello University (ABU)" was undertaken to examine the relationship between job performance and job satisfaction among ABU lecturers. It was to also establish whether lecturers perform optimally in their primary assignment and whether they derive more of intrinsic satisfaction as compared with non-intrinsic satisfaction. These factors were identified and discussed. This study is limited only to lecturers of Ahmadu Bello University The study covered a period of 10 years (1989 to 1999), Assistant Lecturers and other academic staff up to Professors were used for the study. Seven research questions and six minor hypotheses with one major hypothesis were raised for the study. The instrument used for gathering the data was structured questionnaires drawn out on a four-point Likert Scale.
