STRATEGIES FOR EFFECTIVE MANAGEMENT OF BUILDING CONSTRUCTION EQUIPMENT IN TECHNICAL COLLEGES IN IMO AND ABIA STATES

📄 Project Abstract

Effective management of building construction equipment depends on how well the building technology teachers, instructors, and heads of Department of building, can plan, organize, coordinate, direct control and manage these equipment. Visit to technical colleges by the researcher and different news from the state media house revealed unsatisfactory planning, organizing, coordinating and usage of these equipment and tools. The study was conducted to determine strategies that will lead to effective management of building construction equipment in technical colleges. Five research questions were developed and answered in consonance with what the study sought to find out. Three null-hypotheses were formulated and tested at the probability of 0.05 level of significance. A 68 items survey questionnaire was developed and used, which covered all technical colleges in Imo and Abia States.
