📄 Project Abstract

This study investigated the stakeholders' perceptions on the management of academic staff in tertiary institutions in Yobe state. In order to have a solid understanding of the topic, several books and other people's work on the topic were reviewed. The target population for the study comprised of 659 academic staff from six tertiary institutions in Yobe state. A total of 234 academic staff were used as representative sample. The survey study method was adopted for the study. The instrument used in the study was developed by the researcher after validation by the researcher's supervisor. A pilot study was conducted using the instrument. Six (6) null hypotheses were formulated and tested at 0. 05 significance level. Statistical tools used were cross tabulation and percentages, frequency distribution and one way analysis of variance (ANOVA) all the hypotheses were rejected.
