Simulation of a Careers Advisor using Chatbot Technologies
📄 Project Abstract
The aim of the project was to investigate the feasibility of using chatbot technologies to simulate careers advisors on the internet. In order to meet this aim, background research was conducted examining; chatbot technologies, the role of a careers advisor and analysis of the current system. This knowledge combined with the lifecycle model for interaction design allowed three iterations of a careers chatbot to be implemented, allowing a range of different users to give valuable feedback. The feedback then became the basis for the evaluation of each iteration, allowing the chatbot to evolve, eventually allowing conclusions to be drawn about the overall feasibility of a careers chatbot and comparisons to be made with other solutions.
