SEXUAL HARASSMENTS AS CORRELATE OF PSYCHOLOGICAL AND ACADEMIC ADJUSTMENTS AMONG UNDERGRADUATES OF STATE UNIVERSITIES IN ENUGU AND EBONYI STATES

📄 Project Abstract

This study sought to determine sexual harassment as correlate of psychological and academic adjustments of undergraduates in state universities in Enugu and Ebonyi States. Based on the purposes of the study, eight research questions guided the study while five null hypotheses were tested at 0.05 level of significance. A correlational research design was used for the study and a multi-stage sampling procedure was adopted to compose a sample of 614 undergraduates. An instrument, a structured questionnaire titled, Sexual harassment, psychological and academic adjustments questionnaire (SHPAAQ) was used to collect data from the respondents. Using Cronbach Alpha, the internal consistency reliability coefficient were determined for the questionnaire and the values yielded 0.83, 0.88 and 0.87 for sexual harassment, psychological and academic adjustments respectively.
