Background : Cancer of the cervix is the commonest female genital tract malignancy in Nigeria. Due to lack of National cancer screening programme, lack of awareness, and lack of utilization of the few available services, presentation in this environment is in the advanced stages. Thus the daily routines of these patients are severely disrupted. Aim : To determine the pattern of Quality of life among patients presenting with advanced cancer of the cervix. Design : Cross sectional descriptive study Setting: Obstetrics and Gynaecology and Radio-Oncology Departments at Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital Zaria. Subjects: Women presenting with advanced cancer of the cervix at ABUTH Zaria Results: There was high prevalence of disruptions in nearly all domains of quality of life. In the social domain, only 39.7% of family members and 35.4% of friends were reported to have offered financial support to the respondents.
