📄 Project Abstract

Ventilatory function tests enable a better understanding of pulmonary physiology in subjects of all ages, sex, professions and occupational groups, Ali (1983). The test can identify abnormalities of lung function that might otherwise be overlooked and can exclude the possibility of some respiratory disorder such as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, Robert and Crapo (1994). Serial Measurement of lung function may be useful in tracking pulmonary expressions of diseases, quantifying responses to the therapy, and making early diagnosis of lung injury after occupational exposures and drug or radiation therapy. Many diseases, including heart failure, rheumatoid arthritis, inflammatory bowel disease, and vasculities, affect the lungs either directly or as a result of the adverse effects of treatment, Bates (1989). The changing pattern of environment, occupations, personal factors like education, and social factors, which come with development, are known to affect respiratory function, Me...
