MENOPAUSAL PERCEPTION AND COPING STRATEGIES AMONG MENOPAUSAL WOMEN IN IGBO-ETITI LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA ENUGU STATE
📄 Project Abstract
The study was designed to investigate the perception and coping strategies among menopausal women in Igbo-Etiti LGA of Enugu State of Nigeria. Ten specific objectives were formulated with ten corresponding research questions and twelve Null Hypotheses to guide the study. The descriptive survey research design was used for the study. The population for the study was 3250 menopausal women in Igbo Etiti LGA. The sample for the study was 325 menopausal women. A researcher designed questionnaire comprising of 30 items was the instrument for data collection. The instrument was validated by four experts from Department of Health and Physical Education and one from Department of Science Education University of Nigeria, Nsukka. Test retest method using split half was utilized to establish the internal consistency of the instrument. The instrument yielded a reliability index of .950.
