Reading comprehension is very important in the life of any learner. It helps in promoting higher academic achievement. Reading for comprehension helps students to construct meaning from texts, as well as to examine and extend the meaning of the text (Presley, 2006). Reading, essentially involves the process of encoding and processing information by relating incoming information to the already stored information or ideas.
