EFFECT OF PEER ASSESSMENT ON ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT AND INTEREST OF STUDENTS IN GEOMETRY

📄 Project Abstract

This study sought to find the effects of peer assessment on students' academic achievement and interest in geometry. The study was carried out in Okigwe educational zone of Imo State. A quasi experimental non-equivalent control group design was used for the study. Four research questions and six research hypotheses guided the study. The population of the study consisted of all senior secondary one (SSI) students in fifty three coeducational schools of Okigwe educational zone. Two hundred and twenty seven (227) Students were drawn from four schools that were sampled out of the fifty three schools. The instruments for data collection were geometric achievement test (GAT) and geometric interest scale (GIS). Data collected were analysed using mean, standard deviation and analysis of covariance.
