EFFECT OF CONSUMER HEALTH EDUCATION ON KNOWLEDGE, ATTITUDE AND BELIEF OF SECONDARY SCHOOL STUDENTS IN SOUTHERN IJAW LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA OF BAYELSA STATE

📄 Project Abstract

The purpose of the study is to determine the effect of consumer health education programme (CHEP) on the knowledge, attitude and beliefs of secondary school students in Southern Ijaw local government area of Bayelsa State. A case study of consumer health education programme. To achieve the purpose of the study, nine specific objectives with corresponding research question (nine) and six null hypotheses were postulated. The study utilized case study research design. The instruments for data collection was 10 items researchers self developed consumer health education programme knowledge, attitude and belief CHEPKAB questionnaire and checking of official records. Data were collected from 408 respondents. Percentages and means were utilized is answering the research questions, while t-test were utilized in testing the hypotheses at .05 level of significance.
