COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF COGNITIVE COMPETENCE AND MORAL REASONING AMONG PUPILS AND STUDENTS IN ABIA STATE

📄 Project Abstract

This study determined and compared the cognitive competence and moral reasoning among pupils and students in Abia State. Five research questions were posed and four hypotheses were formulated and tested at the ( P< 0.05) level of significance. Cross- sectional developmental survey was the design used for the study. The sample population consisted of 360 pupils and students from primary five, JS II and SS II. The instrument which was validated by 3 experts was used for data collection. Pearson's product correlation co-efficient was used to ascertain the internal consistency for the instrument. Means, standard deviation and the Pearson product moment correlation coefficient were used to answer the research questions; while the student- t statistics and ANOVA were used to test the null hypotheses.
