COMMUNICATION BEHAVIOUR OF ACADEMIC AND NON-ACADEMICS STAFF OF FEDERAL COLLEGES OF EDUCATION IN SOUTH-EASTERN NIGERIA

📄 Project Abstract

The study investigates the communication behaviour of academic and non-academic staff of federal colleges of Education in south eastern Nigeria. The need for the study arose because of noticeable problems hindering effective communication among academic and non-academic staff of the institutions. Five research questions and three null hypotheses guided the study. A descriptive survey research design was adopted. A twenty five item questionnaire was developed and administered to 186 academic and 150 non-academic staff of the institutions. The data collected were analyzed with respect to each research question using means scores. A mean of 2.50 was adopted as the cut off point. The t-test statistic was used to test the three hypotheses formulated for the study.
