Agricultural development has been a major concern to most developing countries within the last two decades. A review of current response to food crisis across the world has shown that there is a need for agricultural development, expansion, increased production per acre of cropped land or per head of livestock, agricultural growth and agricultural transformation. The significance of the role of women in agriculture is prominent; however the paucity of agricultural information has remained one of the factors militating against womens active and productive participation in agriculture in Nigeria regardless of the existence of women friendly agricultural programmes. It is against this backdrop that this study seeks to study the influence of communication on the agricultural participation of women in Askean community of Ussa Local Government Area of Taraba State.
