Arabic Dialects Classification
📄 Project Abstract
This project is about Arabic dialect classification, this type of classification is complicated and there is lack of resources. The goal of this project is to build a successful classifier and create a corpus holding dialects features. However, two main dialects have been chosen to experiment, Egyptian and Gulf Arabic. Spiral methodology been used for project management, while CRISP DM used for managing the requirements flow. There are two methods proposed for implementing the classifier. The first one was based on verbal and nominal morphology, where the second one built on the lexical variation of the two dialects. The outcomes reformatted to AttributeIRelation File Format, and prepared to be processed by WEKA. WEKA has bees used for evaluating classifier outcomes.
