📄 Project Abstract

Creating systems that implement algorithmic composition has become increasingly popular due to the attraction of emulating human composition using common musical techniques. This project investigates the musical characteristics that make melodic segments differentiable from one another and also implements the most useful features that will be used as building blocks to create another melody. A 3D user interface, representing melodies as objects, will allow the user to be more involved in the composition of new melodic.
