📄 Project Abstract
This project was undertaken in an attempt to better understand the work of the Emergency Department within the LGI and to gain an insight as to how their current work processes are supported by a number of independent information systems. It applied the use of a number of key user-involvement methodology tools and techniques to collect data to aid this understanding and then applied a defined set of analytical techniques in an attempt to find a number of areas which could provide the basis of improvements, facilitating the enhanced integrated access for healthcare staff to high quality comprehensive patient information at the point-of-care within the department. Once those areas were identified and prioritised, a technical solution was selected through the adoption of a feasibility study with the aim of generated a recommended solution.
