📄 Project Abstract

The research on Gorobi site is informed by the need to reconstruct the history of the Yandang people from an archaeological perspective against their sole dependant on oral tradition which was the focus of the few records on the area. The aim of the research is to document the archaeological finds and features found on the Gorobi abandoned settlement site with a view to attempting a reconstruction of the past life ways of the people who settled in Gorobi area. Methods like archaeological survey, oral tradition, ethnographic survey, classification analysis and interpretations of data were employed in this research. Archaeological survey conducted in Gorobi led to the discoveries of finds such as potsherds which were collected randomly to represent the type and forms of cultural materials on the site.
