ADMINISTRATIVE CONFLICTS BETWEEN PRINCIPALS AND TEACHERS IN SECONDARY SCHOOLS IN UDI EDUCATION ZONE OF ENUGU STATE, NIGERIA

📄 Project Abstract

This research was concluded on administrative conflicts between principals and teachers in secondary schools in Udi Education zone in Enugu state. Five research questions and two null hypotheses were formulated to guide the study. Descriptive survey design was adopted for the study. A 24 item questionnaire was developed by the researcher and administered to 52 principals and 250 teachers in the two local government Areas. Mean and standard deviations were used to answer the five research questions while the t-test statistics was used to test the two null hypotheses formulated for the study. The sample for the study was 52 principals and 250 teachers. The major findings from the study indicated that the causes of administrative conflicts in secondary schools in Udi Education zone include: Communication barriers, inadequate resources, lack of motivation, hatred and frustration among staff, poor human relationship and jealousy.
