A work management system for an IT development department
📄 Project Abstract
The objective of this project was to update an existing system for an IT development department, within a medium sized financial company in London, for whom I was a placement student last year (2000/2001). The system manages the company's IT development process, allowing for more efficient use of development resources. The first version of the software did not meet the company's requirements, so a study was started to gather a detailed list of requirements for the new system. This project follows on from this study, updating the system to the new requirements. Based upon my experience at the company, and resourcing information from the Internet, technical and functional aspects brought up in the requirements study have been looked into. It is advised that the reader look through Appendix E where the requirements study is to be found.
