A Landscape of Memories

The problem of how to effectively organise large amounts of personal data is becoming an increasingly important factor in the storage of digital data. Recent Developments in our understanding of memory processes and mechanisms, and how they can be digitally represented has placed how we store, manage and retrieve information at the forefront of several fields of research (O'Hara et al, 2006). This report covers how a Virtual Environment (VE) was created to display a large amount of personal images to make storing, organising and finding pictures more effective. Analysis of how effective the VE was compared to a standard method, as well as strengths and weaknesses of the application are also covered in the report.
