A Framework for Assessing Readiness for an e-Society - Using Bahrain as a Case Study

This project aims to address the issue of readiness for an e-Society. At present, there is no way of assessing the readiness for such transformations, which has prompted the development of a generic framework. The proposed solution involves devising a framework supported by an auditing method that carries out an assessment from different aspects and perspectives. The process of applying the framework and the supporting auditing method would serve to uncover any loopholes in the strategy and actions so that issues are addressed early on to avoid major complications. The evaluation would involve insights into whether proposed plans are studied carefully, or just a case of following trends. The report begins with the first two chapters setting the scene, as Chapter One introduces the project, and Chapter Two addresses the topic of e-Society.
