 This study examined private sector participation in the management of public secondary schools in Enugu State. In pursuance of the objectives of the study, six research questions were posed and six hypotheses postulated. The population of the study consisted of school principals, PTA Executives and Voluntary Leaders. The sample of the study consisted of 440 respondents (Principals – 55, PTA Executives – 368 and Voluntary Leader 17). The instrument used in the study was a questionnaire. The Questionnaire was administered to principals, PTA Executives and Voluntary Leaders in Enugu State. The research questions were answered using mean while the hypotheses were tested at 0.05 level of significance using t-test. The major findings of the study include: private sector can participate in planning of school budget, school calendar, Activities for the year, school plant planning such as the location of buildings and sports facilities and the design of such facilities. Private sector can participate in organizing of secondary school activities which ranged from school records, PTA activities, school assets, Award prize giving day and sports competition. Private sector participation in evaluation includes school business ventures, Administrative process, and budget implementation. Private sectors should participate in the funding of new classrooms, new administrative blocks, Dormitories, ICT equipment acquisition, acquisition of books, sports equipment acquisition, provision of funds for school current expenditure, awards of scholarship, renovation of school buildings and new laboratories/workshops. Constraints to private sector participation include: no policy framework for private sector participation, lack of interest on the part of private sector, no special provision for private sector participation, payment of Education tax or other taxes by private sector regarded as enough contribution and corruption among school principals. Private sector participation in the management of secondary school would be facilitated in the following ways; Payment of stipulated amount for secondary education funding, incorporation of private sector into management committee of secondary education, introduction of special awards in recognition of exceptional private sector participant in the development of secondary education and clear policy framework on how private sector can participate in the management of schools. The following recommendations were made Government should establish clear policies, laws and regulations to guide private sector participation in the management of secondary schools. Government should organize seminars, workshops, and enlightenment in mass media to sensitize the private sector organizations of their social
